We are delighted to welcome you to the British Association for Community Child Health (91̽»¨) Annual Scientific Meeting 2026, taking place at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Cardiff on 16-17 September 2026. 91̽»¨'s flagship event brings together clinicians,  allied professionals dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of children and families in their communities.

The 2026 meeting will offer a rich programme of keynote presentations, interactive workshops, and poster sessions, showcasing the latest developments in community paediatrics, public health, and child health policy. Delegates will have the opportunity to engage in advocacy discussions, explore innovative approaches to service delivery, and share best practice across multidisciplinary teams.

Cardiff provides an inspiring backdrop for this year’s conference, combining excellent facilities with a warm Welsh welcome. Whether you are joining us to present research, participate in collaborative sessions, or network with colleagues, the ASM promises to be an invaluable forum for learning and professional development.

Abstracts

Abstract submissions are now open. Click below to complete the form (please note you will need to create a login for Oxford Abstracts if you have not already done so).

  • If your submission is selected for oral presentation you will need to be available to present in person on the morning of 16th or 17th September (10 minutes for presentation, 5 for Q&A) and register to attend the event.
  • Those presenting posters are asked to register to attend the conference in person (if not possible, a colleague can bring the poster). 
  • The prizes for best presentation by a non-consultant and best poster will be announced at the end of day two of the conference on Thursday 17th September.
  • The submission deadline for abstracts is Wednesday 1st July at 5.00pm.
  • Once submitted, abstracts can be edited up to the submission deadline.

Public Transport

  • The nearest rail stations are Cathays (0.3 miles) or Cardiff Central (0.9 miles). Please note that Cathays does not have step-free access.
  • Taxis are available from outside both stations, or alternatively walking takes approximately 9-10 minutes from Cathays or 20 minutes from Cardiff Central.
  • Buses 21, 23, 25, 27 and 35 stop outside the College. There are National Express (Sophia Gardens, Cardiff CF11 9HW) and Megabus stops (North Road, alongside Friary Gardens) close to the campus.

Parking

  • There are Pay and Display car parks opposite College, but there is no on-site parking – please allow extra time to find a parking space. 
  • There are three accessible parking spaces outside the main entrance that can be used by anyone visiting the College who holds a valid blue badge.
