Dr Vicki Walker and Michelle Dougan - Assistant Director of Corporate Safeguarding and Compliance at Barnardo鈥檚 - will be discussing how safeguarding has developed over the past 10 years, and will look at how safeguarding has changed from being more than about physical abuse and neglect and explore how different factors such as a wider understanding of neurodiversity, the internet and the rise of incel culture can lead to safeguarding considerations that paediatricians like you need to know about.
It will also develop knowledge of the College鈥檚 education offer for Level 3 Safeguarding, including Safeguarding in the digital world and Children, violence and safeguarding.
