Introduction
In partnership with the Faculty of Public Health, the Royal Society of Medicine's upcoming event - Preventing harm to children in the UK – Preventing a public health crisis - aims to highlight how the exposure of unhealthy food marketing and manipulative digital advertising is having a detrimental impact on both the physical and mental health of children.
Delivered through masterclasses and panel discussions, attendees will gain a
comprehensive understanding of how commercial determinants shape children’s health
as a result of advertising and social media.
Additionally, you will hear from high-profile speakers sharing scientific evidence focused on how to improve the health of children and will explore advocacy strategies and policies required to protect children from harmful marketing practices.
Please note that only virtual spaces are available for this event.
